Agency: 2021 capacity of Russian sea ports to rise by 50 mln tns

MOSCOW, Jan 15 (PRIME) -- The capacity of Russian sea ports will rise by 50 million tonnes in 2021, the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport said in a statement on Friday.

According to the statement, the Pevek Port piers 1 and 2 will be repaired, raising capacity by 800,000 tonnes. A coal transshipment facility will be built in the Primorsky Region, near the Cape Otkryty, and the first stage of the Sukhodol Port will be completed. Several facilities of the Vostochny Port will be repaired.

A fertilizer terminal in the Ust-Luga Port, and the Taman bulk cargo terminal will be completed, a grain terminal will be repaired in the Novorossiysk Port. A liquefied natural gas terminal will be launched in the Vysotsk Port, a terminal for liquid cargo will be launched in the Temryuk Port.
